How to use this assessment
This assessment was designed to identify the strengths and weaknesses of your board so you can strategically develop training opportunities to ensure the board has the composition, skills and knowledge to assist the non-profit in fulfilling its mission.

What the assessment measures
The assessment measures your board’s status on elements determined necessary for a healthy, strong and effective board. The tool assesses strengths and opportunities for growth in a board’s key responsibilities, and identifies the perceived importance of responsibilities in the near term. It helps evaluate the enablers of board effectiveness, and also provides each board member with a tool for gauging their own personal involvement.

What to do with the results
Once you have the results, links to online resources and articles will be offered. You can take advantage of the suggested links and follow others as you access those. You can also visit the online resource library, as well as contacting the United Way or the Chamber of Services for additional suggestions.
